Key Stage Two Uniform

All Key Stage Two pupils (years 3-6) are expected to wear a pale blue school shirt, James Dixon tie with a navy blue V-neck jumper – this can be a school logoed jumper or cardigan or a plain navy jumper or cardigan. Navy blue skirt, dress, trousers or knee length shorts. On warmer days, children are allowed to wear a blue checked summer dress.

Neutral coloured tights (navy, black, cream/white) and if a hijab is worn it should be navy blue or black.

Key Stage One Uniform

All Key Stage One and Reception pupils (years R-2) are expected to wear a blue school shirt or polo shirt, with a navy blue jumper or cardigan– this can be a school logoed jumper or a plain navy jumper or cardigan. Navy blue skirt, dress, trousers or knee length shorts. On warmer days, children are allowed to wear a blue checked summer dress. Neutral coloured tights (navy, black, cream/white) and if a hijab is worn it should be navy blue or black.

PE Kit:

Years 1-6

Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 (years 1-6) Activewear Tracksuits and Royal blue PE T-shirt available to purchase at  Wearabouts, Sydenham and Stitch to Stitch, Penge 

Footwear

Flat black shoes or plain black trainers should be worn. If a pupil needs to wear wellington boots or warm boots to travel to school in comfort, they must have their normal school shoes with them to change into.

James Dixon Primary School is a Forest School. Each child should have a pair of wellington boots in readiness for their Forest School sessions.

 

Jewellery

One pair of stud earrings – no other piercings are acceptable.

Pupils are not permitted to wear any other jewellery in the school grounds, due to health and safety risks. Some religious jewellery may on occasion be permitted, this will be considered by the headteacher on a case-by-case basis.

 

Make-up

James Dixon Primary School does not consider make-up appropriate and pupils are not permitted to wear any such products; however, there may be exceptions in extreme circumstances, at the headteacher’s discretion (i.e. a pupil may be permitted to cover heavy scarring/skin damage).

 

Labelling

All clothing and footwear should be clearly labelled with the pupil’s name.
